A COLLABORATION OF TWO OF NEW ZEALAND’S TOP PHOTOGRAPHERS
The human story leads this photographic project of farming in New Zealand with the families for whom farming runs in their veins. The project’s core is the multi-generational stories – Children, parents, Grandparents, great-grandparents, and siblings.
Two of New Zealand’s top photographers are leading this exciting project; Tony Carter and Katherine Williams have won New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year 9 times between them.
Humans are at the heart of Farm Families of New Zealand, and we seek to include the elements that make your farm unique – the land, the animals, and the heritage.
The project’s goal is a series of books, initially regional books, then culminating into an extraordinary national coffee table book of a selection of farms.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our commitment to farmers around New Zealand is to offer you the opportunity to feature in a book at no cost.
Families who participate in the project can purchase premium physical products from a beautiful collection of photos celebrating their farm, family, and heritage. You can contact us to discuss or register your farm using the link below.
HERITAGE BOOKS CELEBRATING THE RURAL BACKBONE OF NEW ZEALAND
Our vision is ambitious; we need your farming family!
Regional books will capture the diverse nature of New Zealand farming and its people, and we will collaborate with regional corporate partners to make this achievable.
A national legacy book will celebrate the rich and diverse heritage of New Zealand’s farming families. It will be a coffee table book like no other in New Zealand, a visual history of the people and the land.

Giving back
Our mission is to collaborate with a book sponsor and give back to the farming community. With a collaboration, 100% of the book’s proceeds will go to a rural mental health charity.
